Inside: From a cozy T-shirt to the best little camping cookbook, I’m sharing some of my favorite finds this month. I hope you’ll love these products too.
We all have things that we fall in love with. Whether it’s the comfy sweatshirt you always reach for before all others or the wooden handled potato masher you grab over the plastic one every time.
When you find those elusive items, they’re the ones you hold onto.
I love finding products that make me happy every time I use them. From local brands to items that are made well, the products I adore tend to have something special to them.
Here are a few of my favorite finds lately.
1. Kansas City Original T-Shirt
Straight off the hanger, this Kansas City T-shirt feels like one you’ve worn and loved for years. It looks slightly distressed. But in a cozy way. No need for fake holes or rips. The old school lettering gives it a vintage sports jersey vibe. And, the berry color is just right for autumn. When I wear it, I feel ready for tailgating in the crisp fall air. (And, I don’t even watch sports.)
Made Urban Apparel, purchased at Westside Storey, $32
2. Keep It Wild Co. Leave It Wild Sticker Pack
Based out of Arizona, the husband and wife duo behind Keep It Wild Co. create wilderness-themed southwestern apparel and accessories. But they do more than design items that celebrate the outdoors. Every purchase funds wilderness cleanups.
This leave it wild sticker pack includes six whimsical stickers meant to inspire you to “recycle, pick up trash, leave it better, and leave it wild.” I especially love the Bigfoot one.
I bought this fun sticker pack for my twin sister as part of her birthday gift. She collects stickers when we travel, and these stickers fit right in with her eclectic sticker collection.
Leave it Wild Sticker Pack, Keep It Wild Co., $12
3. Glacee Crystal Elixir Water Bottle
When you carry around this crystal elixir water bottle from Glacee Bottles, you’ll feel equal parts glamorous goddess and wild child.
At $84, it’s a splurge. But it’s probably also the prettiest water bottle you’ll ever own.
Besides looking pretty, this water bottle provides crystal elixir healing energy on the go. Some people say crystals help with certain ailments and enhance desired qualities. You can supposedly drink up the healing benefits when you sip on a crystal elixir. It sounds mystical, but a crystal elixir just means adding crystals to your drinking water.
If you don’t believe in the power of crystals, that’s cool too. You’ll get hydrated either way. And the pretty bottle may even help you be more mindful about drinking water.
This bottle is the ultimate in eco-minded luxury. Because it’s made of glass, you don’t have to worry about BPA or yucky chemicals from plastic leaching into your water. (Just crystal energy!)
But because not all crystals are safe when mixed with water, don’t go adding any old rocks to your water. All Glacce Bottles come with crystals that are safe to use in drinking water. I chose amethyst for its creativity benefits, but the bottles come in five different crystal options.

Choose from these crystals:
- Amethyst
- Black obsidian
- Quartz
- Rose quartz
- Smoky quartz
You have to handle this water bottle a little more mindfully than a typical water bottle. But it’s easy to clean because both the crystal base and the topper twist off. The glass body is dishwasher-safe, and you can quickly wash the topper and the crystal by hand.

4. The Campout Cookbook: Inspired Recipes for Cooking Around the Fire and Under the Stars
You’ll want to dust off the ol’ camping tent and grab your spork after reading this book.
“The Campout Cookbook: Inspired Recipes for Cooking Around the Fire and Under the Stars” by Jen Stevenson and Marnie Hanel has one approach to camping: Just have fun.
You’ll find tips on what to do if you forgot a plate. (Use a frisbee!) Or, if you need some tunes. (Drop your phone in a mug to simulate surround sound.) Run in with a skunk? (Pack it in.)
And, I appreciate its down-to-earth advice. Like how to stave off someone’s inevitable moodiness. (Stow away surprises for the right moment. Candy or canteen cocktails should do the trick.)
I absolutely judged this book by its cover in the bookstore. How could you not? The sparky, happy campfire on the cover begs you to join in the fun. And it has details galore. Look close and you’ll see the subtle etchings on the cover make it resemble a piece of wood. How cute!
Inside, the intro page says it’s a book for survivalists with standards. Basically, if you’re cool with not washing your hair for a few days but can’t survive without your campside mixed drink, this book is for you. There are more flask cocktails and wood-fired pizza recipes than hot dogs and hamburgers in its pages. And the authors have a serious love affair with enamelware and Stanley thermoses.
And the recipes! How about s’mores 12 ways? I never thought to sandwich my marshmallows between Oreos. (Genius!) Or, to use Nutella instead of chocolate squares. (So smart!) Basically, I’m now questioning every s’more I’ve ever made.
I also can’t wait to try the Middle-of-Nowhere Mac ‘n’ Beer Cheese and the Smoked Kielbasa, Swiss Chard, and Yukon Gold Potato Hash. Time to seriously up my camping food game.
The Campout Cookbook, Amazon, $15.08
5. Great Outdoors Notebook Set
I need a new notebook like I need a paper cut on my eye.
So, I bought two. (To be fair, these notebooks came as a set.) What can I say, those mountain illustrations called at me. And, every adventure needs a new notebook.
For you other chronic notebook buyers out there, you’ll love this set. One notebook comes lined. The other blank. They’re lightweight. Perfect for those adventures where you need to pack light.
Get ready to get inspired to document all your travels.
Great Outdoors Notebook Set, Amazon, $10.69
Even when writing this, these favorite finds made me smile. I hope you like them, too.
